I am running for city council because I firmly believe I
can provide critical insight and decision making on the
issues that affect us most here in Houston, including,
employment, business development, transportation,
quality of life, and emergency management.
I have the skills and the ability to make that happen.
I spent 28 years in the Air Force, and graduated from
the United States Air Force Academy. I am a skilled
planner, thinker, manager, and leader. I have the
background in crisis management, project management, and
people management. And I can bring these
perspectives learned from my assignments in Texas,
Colorado, Washington D.C. and Europe to the Houston
Community.
I will get crime reduced in our county and in our
precinct so that residents and business owners can feel
safe in their homes, at the shopping centers, and at the
recreation sites.
I will strive for new and diverse transportation
solutions available to our citizens.
We need to find and expedite options which reduce
the carbon footprint in our city.
We need to implement light rail, commuter rail,
and dedicated two wheeled vehicle lanes.
We need to find ways to put these options in
place without affecting our progressive communities.
And, I will strive for a comprehensive crisis recovery
plan for the city.
We need to prioritize the distribution of post
disaster services, including food, fuel, water, and
power services.
We need to look at new emergency energy options
like portable solar power, to provide emergency power
sources to critical traffic intersections, gas stations,
and fragile senior citizens homes/shelters.
Too much property is lost every time a storm
drainage area clogs and floods our streets.
Too many lives were adversely affected because
our crisis recovery management plans are not adequate.
We need to protect our citizens’ lives and
property.
My background in Air Force, Department of Defense, and
NATO Communications Systems and Project Management will
help put these initiatives to use in Houston.
